10 years ago, Park City hosted over 40% of the 2002 Winter Olympic events and Historic Main Street served as an international promenade for the world greatest party. From inside the Main Street Venue, Treasure Mountain Inn enjoyed a birdseye view of the festivities, including a Jumbotron on our doorstep, a bandstand next door, a pin-trading tent nearby, and a daily parade of the Budweiser Clydesdales-- all enjoyed by over 30,000 visitors per day. Park City had four fantastic venues: Deer Valley Mountain Resort , Park City Mountain Resort, the Utah Olympic Park, and Main Street, all of which still host world-class events. The picture above is of the 2012 International Moguls event hosted at Deer Valley last week. As we enjoy a little nostalgia this month, we are also excited by the possibilities of an Olympic return in 2022 or 2026. Wouldn’t that be grand!
